Vertiv agrees to acquire King Environmental Services to expand EMEA thermal services
Vertiv Holdings Co (NYSE: VRT) announced an agreement to acquire King Environmental Services Ltd. (KES), a Europe-based provider of fluid management, commissioning and load-testing services for high-density, liquid-cooled data centers and other applications, according to a Sept. 24 Form 8-K and press release filed as Exhibit 99.1.
The acquisition is expected to expand Vertiv’s thermal management services into Europe, the Middle East and Africa and builds on the company’s 2025 PurgeRite acquisition in North America. KES is headquartered near Dublin, Ireland, and serves customers across EMEA.
In the press release, CEO Gio Albertazzi said Vertiv’s PurgeRite acquisition in December 2025 “established an important fluid management foundation in North America, and KES is expected to build on that foundation in EMEA.” He added that the deals advance the company’s strategy to provide “specialized expertise and disciplined execution” as customers deploy increasingly complex infrastructure.
KES capabilities cited in the release include fluid-system preparation, flushing, filtration, water treatment, commissioning and performance validation, plus thermal load testing for liquid cooling infrastructure and electrical load testing for critical power systems.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed and are not expected to be material to Vertiv’s financial results.
