RTX names Jill Albertelli to lead Pratt & Whitney as Eddy retires
RTX Corporation (NYSE: RTX) said Shane Eddy will step down as president of Pratt & Whitney effective Jan. 1, 2027, and retire from the company at the end of the first quarter of 2027, according to a Sept. 15 Form 8-K and accompanying press release. Jill Albertelli, currently president of Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines business, was named to succeed Eddy as Pratt & Whitney president on that date and will report to RTX chairman and chief executive officer Chris Calio.
In the release, Calio said Albertelli has more than three decades of experience across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, commercial programs, sales, maintenance and repair, and strategy at Pratt & Whitney. As Military Engines president, the company said she secured Pratt & Whitney’s sole-source propulsion position on the F-35, improved F135 delivery and quality performance, and expanded sustainment capacity for military customers.
Eddy will remain through March 2027 as a special advisor to support the transition. RTX said his more than 40-year career took him from flight-line mechanic to Pratt & Whitney president, a role he assumed in 2022, and that he guided the business through a multi-year transformation and production and sustainment ramps for the Geared Turbofan and F135 engine programs.
