Keysight Names Jason Kary CFO as Neil Dougherty Steps Down After 13 Years
Keysight Technologies named Jason Kary, the head of its Electronic Industrial Solutions Group, as its next chief financial officer, succeeding longtime CFO Neil Dougherty in a planned handoff effective Dec. 18.
Kary, 58, will become senior vice president and CFO, according to its 8-K filed Monday. Dougherty, who has served as CFO for 13 years and has been with the company for 30, told Keysight on Oct. 29 that he would step down. The company said he is leaving for personal reasons and not because of any disagreement with the company.
Dougherty will stay on in an advisory capacity through fiscal 2027 to support the transition.
Who is Jason Kary
Kary has led the Electronic Industrial Solutions Group as senior vice president and president since November 2024. Before that he served as vice president, treasurer and head of investor relations from December 2013 to November 2024, and earlier held finance roles at Agilent Technologies and Hewlett-Packard, which he joined in 1996.
"Jason's appointment reflects the strength of our leadership team and track record of developing talent through diverse leadership experiences," CEO Satish Dhanasekaran said. He also thanked Dougherty "for his exceptional contributions to Keysight since our spin."
"I am honored to step into the role of Keysight's CFO at such an exciting time in our company's history," Kary said.
What changes
After Kary moves into the CFO job, the Electronic Industrial Solutions Group will report to Kailash Narayanan, senior vice president and president of the Communications Solutions Group. It will remain a separately reported financial segment.
Compensation changes for Kary and Dougherty have not been determined, and Keysight said it will disclose them in an amended filing.
Outlook unchanged
Keysight said it is not updating its outlook for the fiscal fourth quarter, adding that demand across its end markets remains strong. It will report results for the quarter ended Oct. 31 on Thursday, Nov. 19, as scheduled.
