Insmed CFO Sara Bonstein to step down Oct. 30; company reaffirms 2026 revenue guidance
Insmed is looking for a new chief financial officer. The biopharmaceutical company said Monday that CFO Sara Bonstein will step down effective Oct. 30, after nearly seven years in the role, and that it has partnered with a leading executive search firm to find her successor.
Bonstein will stay through the company's third-quarter report, which Insmed said it will release on Thursday, Oct. 29, with a conference call at 8 a.m. ET. She will take part in that call.
The company paired the news with its outlook. Insmed reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance for revenue of $1.25 billion to $1.40 billion from BRINSUPRI, its brensocatib treatment, and $450 million to $470 million from ARIKAYCE.
According to the 8-K, Bonstein's departure is not related to any disagreement with the company over its accounting practices, financial statements, internal controls or operations. She will receive the benefits laid out in Section 6.e of her April 2022 amended and restated employment agreement.
Chair and Chief Executive Will Lewis credited Bonstein with overseeing the finance organization while Insmed raised more than $4.2 billion in capital. "We are now well positioned to reach cash flow positivity next year," Lewis said in the press release.
Bonstein said that "now is an ideal time for me to pursue my ambition for a broader leadership role."
