Interactive Brokers Q3 2026 earnings: EPS rises to $0.69 and quarterly dividend jumps to $0.15 from $0.0875
Interactive Brokers grew earnings in the third quarter and gave shareholders a much bigger dividend.
The automated global broker reported diluted earnings of 69 cents per share, or 67 cents as adjusted, up from 59 cents and 57 cents a year earlier, according to its earnings release Thursday. Net revenues rose to $1.91 billion from $1.66 billion, or $1.87 billion as adjusted.
The board raised the quarterly cash dividend to 15 cents a share from 8.75 cents. The dividend is payable Dec. 14 to shareholders of record as of Dec. 1.
Net interest income, the company's biggest revenue line, climbed 19% to $1.15 billion on higher customer margin loans and credit balances. Commission revenue rose 12% to $602 million as daily average revenue trades increased 18% to 4.27 million.
Customer growth stayed strong. Accounts rose 35% to 5.58 million, customer equity grew 27% to $964.7 billion, and margin loans jumped 36% to $105.2 billion.
Costs also rose in places. Execution, clearing and distribution fees increased 46% to $134 million, mainly because of a $30 million rise in regulatory fees tied to a higher SEC Section 31 fee rate. Pretax profit margin was 78%, compared with 79% a year earlier.
