FactSet posts Q4 revenue of $635 million as organic ASV climbs 7%
FactSet Research Systems closed fiscal 2026 with another quarter of subscription growth. In a Wednesday morning release furnished on Form 8-K, the financial data and analytics provider said GAAP revenues for the three months ended Aug. 31 rose 6.3% to $634.7 million, organic revenues increased 7.1%, and organic annual subscription value reached $2,568.2 million, up 7.0% or $168.2 million year over year.
GAAP diluted EPS for the quarter was $3.41, down from $4.03 a year earlier, which FactSet tied to higher operating expenses — including non-recurring items — and a prior-year gain on a business divestiture, partly offset by revenue growth and a lower share count. Adjusted diluted EPS rose 11.6% to $4.52 from $4.05. GAAP operating margin was 24.7% versus 29.7%; adjusted operating margin was 33.0% versus 33.8%.
For the full fiscal year, GAAP revenues increased 6.7% to $2.48 billion — FactSet’s 47th consecutive year of higher revenues. GAAP diluted EPS was $14.57 versus $15.55, while adjusted diluted EPS rose 6.1% to $18.01 from $16.98. Adjusted operating margin was 34.5% compared with 36.3%. The company said annual ASV retention remained above 95%, AI solutions ASV added in fiscal 2026 more than doubled year over year, and it returned $808 million to shareholders over the year, including more than $179 million in the fourth quarter ($138 million of buybacks and more than $41 million of dividends), marking a 27th consecutive year of dividend increases.
CEO Sanoke Viswanathan pointed to a record increase in organic ASV for both the quarter and the year and to momentum in AI and data solutions. Looking ahead, FactSet guided fiscal 2027 organic ASV growth of 5.0% to 6.5%, revenues of $2.60 billion to $2.625 billion, GAAP operating margin of 31.0% to 32.0%, adjusted operating margin of 34.75% to 35.25%, diluted EPS of $17.00 to $17.50, and adjusted diluted EPS of $19.25 to $19.65.
The board also approved amended and restated by-laws on Sept. 24, including updates on committee delegation and advance-notice procedures for shareholder nominations, according to the same 8-K.
