Cardinal Health enters binding LOI to extend CVS drug distribution deals through 2032
Cardinal Health locked in a longer runway with one of its largest pharmacy customers. In a Form 8-K and news release dated Oct. 1, 2026, the distributor said it entered a binding letter of intent to extend its existing pharmaceutical distribution agreements with CVS Health through June 30, 2032.
The company said the LOI reflects continuation of Cardinal Health current scope of distribution services. CEO Jason Hollar said in the release that Cardinal Health values its long-standing partnership with CVS Health and looks forward to continuing to serve CVS customers.
Alongside the renewal announcement, Cardinal Health reaffirmed fiscal year 2027 non-GAAP EPS guidance of $12.40 to $12.60, which it described as 13% to 15% growth based on adjusted fiscal 2026 results that exclude an IEEPA tariff-refund benefit. It also reaffirmed long-term non-GAAP EPS growth guidance of 12% to 14%. Further updates may come on the company first-quarter earnings call scheduled for Nov. 5, 2026.
