Caesars loss widens as Las Vegas softens; regional and digital grow
Caesars Entertainment reported a wider third-quarter net loss of $123 million as softer results on the Las Vegas Strip offset growth in its regional casinos and online business, according to its earnings release filed with an 8-K.
The casino operator's GAAP net revenue was $2.94 billion, up 2.5% from $2.87 billion a year earlier. The net loss attributable to Caesars compared with a loss of $55 million in the third quarter of 2025. Consolidated adjusted EBITDA was $865 million, down from $884 million.
Las Vegas slips, regional gains
Las Vegas net revenue fell 2.3% to $930 million, and the segment's net income dropped 40.2% to $79 million, according to the release. Regional revenue rose 5.9% to $1.63 billion, with net income up 17.9% to $66 million.
Revenue from Managed and Branded operations fell 20.5% to $58 million.
Digital improves
Caesars Digital, which includes online sports betting and casino games, grew revenue 4.8% to $326 million and swung to net income of $4 million from a loss of $21 million. Its adjusted EBITDA rose to $44 million from $28 million.
Year to date
For the first nine months of the year, net revenue was $8.80 billion, up 2.7%. Las Vegas revenue was down 2.0% over that span, while regional revenue rose 6.1% and digital revenue rose 6.3%.
Why it matters
Las Vegas has been the company's most profitable market, so a decline there matters more than gains elsewhere. The steady improvement in digital, where Caesars has been working to turn a profit, is a bright spot, but the overall net loss reflects a wider loss in the Corporate and Other segment, which grew to $288 million from $240 million a year earlier.
Investors will listen for commentary on Las Vegas visitation, event calendars and leverage on the earnings call.
