CACI raises fiscal 2027 outlook on $4.8 billion of awards, moves to a calendar fiscal year
CACI International raised its revenue and earnings outlook after booking $4.8 billion of new contracts in its fiscal first quarter, and the government technology contractor said it is switching to a calendar fiscal year.
Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose 8.2% to $2.47 billion, including 2.1% organic growth, according to the earnings release CACI filed with an 8-K on Wednesday. Net income rose to $130.4 million, or $5.84 a diluted share, from $124.8 million, or $5.63. Adjusted EPS, which excludes intangible amortization, climbed 11.8% to $7.66.
Contract awards of $4.8 billion produced a book-to-bill ratio of 2.0 times. EBITDA, a non-GAAP measure, jumped 22.4% to $328.8 million, a 13.3% margin.
"Based on our results, large and growing backlog, and healthy pipeline, we are raising our fiscal year 2027 revenue and earnings profit outlook," President and CEO John Mengucci said in the release.
Guidance
CACI now expects fiscal 2027 revenue of $10.7 billion to $10.9 billion, up from $10.65 billion to $10.85 billion, and adjusted EPS of $33.18 to $34.08, up from $32.96 to $33.86. It kept its free cash flow outlook at least $900 million.
Free cash flow in the quarter fell 6.6% to $133.5 million, which the company attributed mainly to higher working capital.
New fiscal calendar
In a separate 8-K, CACI said its board on Oct. 20 changed the company's fiscal year end from June 30 to Dec. 31. It will use a transition period from July 1 to Dec. 31, 2026, and plans to file a transition report on Form 10-KT for that period. The board also amended the by-laws so that the annual meeting date is set by the board rather than fixed on the third Friday of October.
