Armstrong World Industries raises quarterly dividend 10%, its eighth straight annual increase
Armstrong World Industries is giving shareholders a 10% raise.
The ceilings and specialty walls maker said its board approved an increase in the quarterly cash dividend to 37.3 cents a share, according to a press release filed with an 8-K on Wednesday. The dividend is payable Nov. 19 to shareholders of record at the close of business on Nov. 5.
The increase is the company's eighth consecutive annual raise since it started paying a dividend in 2018.
"With a healthy balance sheet and a track record of strong adjusted free cash flow generation, we remain committed to returning cash to shareholders as a key pillar of our balanced approach to capital allocation," Senior Vice President and CFO Chris Calzaretta said in the release.
He said the raise reflects the board's "continued confidence in our growth strategy and ability to consistently generate adjusted free cash flow growth."
Future dividends remain at the board's discretion, the company said.
