Amazon Adds $0 Uber Eats Delivery for Prime Members on Orders of $25 or More
Amazon said Prime members can now place Uber Eats restaurant orders on Amazon.com and in the Amazon Shopping app with a $0 delivery fee on orders of $25 or more, according to a company newsroom release dated Thursday.
Members use existing Amazon credentials and payment methods. Amazon said no new Uber Eats app or Uber Eats account is required to get started. The benefit is available nationwide to all Prime members, including half-price Prime for Young Adults and Prime Access, the company said.
Jamil Ghani, worldwide vice president of Amazon Prime, framed the tie-up as another way to pack more everyday value into the membership. Andrew Macdonald, president and chief operating officer of Uber, said the companies built an experience meant to feel as natural as other Uber Eats orders while connecting restaurants with Prime customers.
Amazon said the partnership reaches Uber Eats’ selection of hundreds of thousands of restaurants and that members could save more than $175 a year through the benefit—more than the price of an annual Prime membership, the company said. For the first 14 days, Prime members can take $20 off each of their first two Uber Eats restaurant orders of $25 or more made on Amazon. Prime Visa cardholders earn 5% back on Uber Eats orders through Dec. 5, 2026, with an eligible Prime membership required, according to the release.
Members start by searching “Uber Eats” on Amazon or visiting the Uber Eats experience on Amazon. Amazon sends email and push updates on delivery status, and Uber Eats sends a final order confirmation, the company said.
For Amazon investors, the launch extends Prime beyond retail and streaming into restaurant delivery without requiring customers to leave Amazon’s checkout flow—another bid to raise membership utility and order frequency inside the app.
